SPOLSKY
Hey! It's been weeks.
ATWOOD
Weeks.
SPOLSKY
Weeks and weeks. I had thought that maybe I had imagined on my vaction that the only thing I would want to do, especially because it would be the middle of the night over there in Europe time, is get out my laptop and make another podcast.
ATWOOD
What could be more exciting than that?
SPOLSKY
Well, it turns out, sleeping. Or pretty much anything.
(Both laugh)
SPOLSKY
The only that could be worse than recording this podcast is listening to it. So...
ATWOOD
That's true.
SPOLSKY
What's new? What's all the news? There's probably, OMG, weeks have passed... three weeks! And we haven't done a podcast.
ATWOOD
That's right. The last one I'm looking here is, wow, August 12.
SPOLSKY
You know, Europe completely shuts down in August.
ATWOOD
Really?
SPOLSKY
Like all the stores and resturants and stuff are closed except for a couple of tourist traps. And we were in the part of France that doesn't have tourists. So it's just closed.
ATWOOD
Well, was it a good vacation? You do this thing every year?
SPOLSKY
Yeah.SPOLSKY
Is it always a different place?
SPOLSKY
Yeah, it's always a different place.
ATWOOD
I see. Where has it been in the past?
SPOLSKY
Uhh, well we've done a couple of trips to England; we've done the Hamptons; we've done France, Italy... I'm missing something there. I want to say the North Pole, but that didn't happen. So I can't say that.
ATWOOD
(Chuckles) That would be interesting.
SPOLSKY
That would be lying. Yeah.
[02:48]
ATWOOD
So speaking of travelling; I got my passport stuff mailed in. The last time I had a password was in 1998, it's still barely valid.
